Who We Are
- Auglaize County 4H Shooting Sports
- “Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.” 4H Shooting Sports is open to all boys and girls in the third grade or higher, being aged 8-19. Specific objectives of the program are many and all share the same goal; positive youth development. 4-H members have opportunities to test their shooting, hunting, and sportsmanship skills in county, regional, state, and national competitions. In fact, they could ultimately set Olympic competition as their goal. There are seventeen Olympic shooting sports events, which continue to draw the third-greatest number of countries. How can kids get involved in the club?
The biggest factor in getting involved is a willingness to participate.
If you know a young person who may be interested in 4H Shooting Sports, the required applications including permission, health history, and emergency medical release forms are available from the club. All forms must be completed and turned in to club advisors by last day to join posted on the schedule. Any youth interested in shooting a handgun must also complete the consent form for that purpose. The club would also like to have a photo release form on file but this is not required if you object to the youth being included in club photos. Any adults who may wish to be included in club photos are also asked to submit a release form.
